Hello, sorry about your mom. My father was diagnosed with intestinal cancer in July. Not really knowing what was on stage .. when he received a diagnosis that had spread, but only a little outside the intestine and not to other organs. I was really terrified when I heard, but he has had treatment, including radio, chemotherapy and surgery and is doing really well. The chemo did not affected at all, but the radio that he felt very rough. The op (January) withdrew lots and now he has to have a permanent colostomy bag I would say that it took him maybe 4 months to recover from the op. I think he was lucky because it responds so well to treatment. The dose chemotherapy more to do, but we hope it is. I know it's not very scientific, but just wanted to try to inform you that, although very scary, they can pull through it! Dad was determined from the beginning that just made everything possible for them away .... and all supported him. I think it is really important and I know he appreciated. Sorry to follow ....
