Is 22 a young age to have a colonoscopy?
I had my colonoscopy today! Everything went well. I arrived at 9:30 am and had to do some blood tests on me before colonoscopy. The doctor found a polyp of colon and some tearing. March 6, 2009 I'll be back for a checkup. The doctor wants to put me on a diet high in fiber. The hardest part was taking the colonoscopy preparation material that made me have a bowel movement every 10 minutes or less. Let's drink preparation was sooooo horrible. I went to the hospital until 1:05 pm The doctor gave me some cream to put cap in my ass and told him to use it until his past. I feel good now, but I've been sleeping all day since I came home and ate some food.
22 is young. Screening colonoscopies did not start until the patient is mid 50. Bravo to talk about it! The beverage preparation is unpleasant, I call it "human Draino" cleans out the pipes. Going high-fiber is easier than it used to be. I have to do that causes constipation is a side effect of my medications fibromyalgia. Glad U are well, good luck
